About olpes
olpes is a reference site for color codes. The name comes from the Greek olpe, a small vessel for carrying liquid — a fitting name for a site meant to hold a growing palette of colors.
What we publish
Each color page lists the color's hex, RGB, HSL and CMYK values, its contrast ratio against pure white and pure black, a complementary color, two analogous colors, a 10-step shade/tint ramp, and copy-paste CSS snippets. We compute these values directly from the color itself, so every page carries its own numbers rather than repeating a template.
How it grows
We launched with 20 foundational colors and add new batches of pages on an ongoing basis. The site is generated from a small dataset by a build script, which keeps every page consistent and lets us expand quickly without changing the site's structure.
Who runs it
olpes is an independently operated reference site. You can reach us at support@olpes.com.
